  • Year 1984

    The first phase of the Municipal Museum has started, and the re-selected new site is located at No. 35 Cangwu Road, Xinpu District

  • Year 1981

    The municipal government allocated funds to build a new municipal museum, which was designed by Nanjing Institute of Technology and the site was set in the South Community. Construction began in 1983. After completing the fence, three connections, one leveling and foundation, due to urban planning adjustments, it was decided to move to another site.

  • May 8, 1973

    With the approval of the Lianyungang Revolutionary Committee, the Lianyungang Museum was established under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Education. The first curator Xiong Zhengwen and the secretary Jiang Hongqu. Location: No. 2 Tiegong South Lane. There are archaeological group, storage group, administrative group and library.

    Moved to Yan'an Middle School, and moved to No. 2 Tiegong South Lane a few months later.

  • Year 1971

    Moved to Xinpu Park.

  • Year 1969

    The main hall of Daci Temple was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, and the cultural relics of the showroom were moved into the house behind the Huanghai Theater in Xinpu Park.

    Establish the Xinhailian City Topography and Cultural Relics Showroom, which is located in the Daci Temple on the west side of the Confucian Temple in Haizhou Middle Street.
